A thrilling, action-packed reality competition series Snakes In The Grass is set to air on SABC2 on Wednesdays at 19:00, starting on the 3rd of May 2023.
Every week Snakes In The Grass will drop four strangers into the wild for a chance to win $100,000. In order to win the cash, the group must determine who among them is the ‘Snake,’ a player secretly aiming to sabotage the group at every turn. Working as a team, the players take on a series of intense challenges to earn clues that can help them catch the Snake. If the group can correctly identify the saboteur in the end, then they split the cash. But if they fail, then the Snake takes all the money for themselves.
American Radio and Television personality Bobby Bones is the host of this competition that pushes nature to the limit when contestants battle it out for a grand prize of $ 100.000.
In this survival of the sneakiest, the players will compete in a series of gruelling and mind-twisting challenges, from retrieving game pieces suspended on high wires over a 500-foot canyon, to scaling the face of a cliff to solve puzzles. With each successfully completed challenge, the competitors win a clue that helps reveal the identity of the Snake. Not wanting their identity revealed, the Snake will do whatever it takes to prevent the players from winning the clues by sabotaging their journey any chance they get.
Fan-favourite reality competition legends from "Survivor," "Big Brother," and "Naked and Afraid" will be among those competing in this real-life psychological thriller set in the central American jungle.
Snakes In The Grass forms part of the channel’s weekly themed content on the 19:00 slot. The channel has curated themes for each weekday ranging from family game shows, cooking, travel and interventionist shows to guarantee variety and high entertainment value programming.
